Who We Are

Wooden puzzle pieces labeled “Partnership” and “Choice,” with a target block, notebook, pen, and plant representing person-centered planning and independent living.

Myloda House is a Massachusetts-based provider of person-centered Independent Living Support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our philosophy is straightforward: every person deserves support that honors their dignity, respects their choices, and builds on their strengths, goals, and aspirations.

Success is defined by the people we support, on their own terms. Our role is to listen carefully, collaborate with intention, and help create the conditions for each person to build confidence, strengthen independence, and participate more fully in everyday life.

Through thoughtful and consistent partnership, Myloda House works alongside individuals, families, guardians, and DDS teams to support meaningful progress at a pace that respects the person.

How We Support
Independence

Support is uniquely shaped around each person's life. We begin by understanding the whole person — goals, strengths, preferences, routines, and support needs. From this foundation, we tailor support to daily life, helping each person build lasting independence, make meaningful choices, and engage more fully in their community.

1. Listen First
We begin by learning what matters to the person — their goals, preferences, strengths, routines, and vision for a meaningful life.

2. Build Independence
We support practical skill-building through everyday experiences, helping individuals build confidence and take greater ownership of daily life.

3. Foster Belonging
We help individuals connect with activities, places, relationships, and community resources that reflect their interests and aspirations.

Our Guiding Principles

These principles shape how we build relationships, make decisions, and provide support. They keep our work person-centered, respectful, and grounded in everyday life.

‍Person Before Program

Support is shaped around the person, not a predetermined model. We begin with each individual’s strengths, preferences, routines, goals, and aspirations.

Choice Through Partnership
Meaningful choice grows through collaboration. We work alongside individuals, families, guardians, DDS teams, and support networks to support informed decisions and shared progress.

Growth Through Everyday Life
Independence develops through ordinary experiences: practicing skills, making decisions, building relationships, and participating more fully in community life.

Our Commitment

Our commitment is to provide respectful, consistent, person-centered support that helps each individual build confidence, strengthen independence, and participate more fully in everyday life. We work alongside individuals, families, guardians, DDS teams, and support networks with professionalism, care, and respect community.
